Which XMPP server do u use and WHY? I just made an account on conversations.im because I bought the conversations android app and like that was just the one it reccomended - I cant use a pc rn. Anything 2 consider? Also this is an (anti?) XMPP thread ig (only if u want it 2 b and know of smth better).

I use xmpp.jp. No real reason other than someone else I know who uses xmpp uses it. No questions asked, no verification needed.
If you do want to register your email for if you forgot your password, the verification email isn't immediate; it took like a day for it to get to me.

I also use conversations as my xmpp mobile app, works great.

Xmpp.jp apparently is XEP-0421 non compliant. No "Anonymous unique occupant identifiers for MUCs", *looking up definition 4 MUCs*, hmmmmm, big problem! If I ever have more than 1 person 2 talk 2, this could rllly screw me over! Lolz, I'm sorry. I'm just jk'ing. That's a CUTE reason. And it's japanese (based)! Thnx 4 comment on conversations app. Have u tried any other?

xmpp.is very transparent about security/privacy and just werks. The only downside is that you have to register with a web browser. Yax.im and conversations.im are decent too.

Not with all. Some xmpp servers support in-band registration(=registering an account with your xmpp client)
