new plan9 bootcamp on https://sdf.org/plan9/ is starting on june 20th. Accounts are free and the plan9 server stays up year round. If you are interested you only need a computer that can run drawterm ( https://drawterm.9front.org it might already be in your package manager but could be out of date). they say you "need a 3 button mouse" but you don't. it's better with one but you can use a trackpad.
