I heard "X, previously known as Twitter" on television today and it made me wonder: It's been over two years since that rebranding and I'm still constantly seeing phrases like 'X (formerly known as Twitter)' or 'Twitter (now X)' or other types of clarifications, or people straight up just calling it Xitter. And by constantly, I do mean constantly. I don't think I've seen it being referred to as just X, no asterisks, no parentheses, no memes, etc. Two years now. If this is not a total failure in a rebrand, I don't know what could be.
