it's really the worst with those "philosophers". they think they found some profound truth about life but then you can read between the lines that they're just sad, lonely, old men with too much free time trying to make a new pseudo-religion (especially Mainlaender) out of their sad life. meanwhile philosophers optimistic towards life endured terrible pain and sorrow and still decide life is the best thing that can possibly happen. curious how that happens.
