so I was thinking about how bad things tend to repeat like groundhogs day, like addictions or bad relationship or mistakes and failure, you know its never really one and done, where else do you find repetion hell exactly hell is torment on repeat in a ironic sense very contracting cause god could just make all the sinners nonexistent in the afterlife, but he rewards them with existence and then immediately starts the suffering a bit like life, any thoughts I'll take anything

going back to bad habits doesn't make you a bad person. it's human to sometimes relapse, at least i think. it's doing your best to learn from your mistakes and move forward trying to live the way you want that says more abt your person. the "hell" is it can be hard. sometimes even a daily fight that brings wins and losses. but if want something so bad, even just not to fall into bad habits again, it's worth trying.

i'm sorry if you were looking for smth with more of a religious angle, anon. that's not really my thing.

in order for suffering to really be meaningful it needs contrast. if you experienced nothing but bad stuff 100% of the time it would just become normal, so in order to maximize suffering there has to be hope, there has to be brightness, something to make you think the baseline is higher than the suffering.

it is important to think neutrally. Of course, the best would be to think positively, but it unrealistic to believe this is possible 100 percent of the time... The minute something bad happens and you compound upon that reality with reflecting how bad it is for too long, then another bad thing is bound to happen. The type of fish you catch is dependent on the type of bait you put out.
