how is this different from any other 2ch clone? It has a different userbase. There's no need to force gimmicks into every community so you can feel like it's "special". It's just a place to chat and nothing more.
I fail to see how this is going to have any sort of positive impact on modern webI wash my hands of the modern web.
There are too many boards. This has been something I've considered too. To be honest, I didn't put that much thought into the boards, since the main purpose was to mirror channels from my previous discord server. The way I saw it, my primary goal at first was to make a smooth onboarding experience for discord users who may be unfamiliar with textboards, because if no one from my discord came here, denpa-chan would have been a failure right from the get go. As >>13 said, for now I'm not worried about it because /all/ centralises all the posts anyway, but if it becomes a problem in the future I'm open for change.
What new ideas are you bringing to the table that others haven't already? This is a little confusing to me. Textboard is just a format for a type of website which is already well established. I'm not sure of the need to make some sweeping change to the format since in my eyes it is already proven to work well. That being said, I do have some plans in the future for unique features to implement which I haven't seen anywhere else, but it will take time for me to learn the requisite js and php skills to actually make them, so please have patience.
anonymous texboards are not good replacements for discord serversIn a big way that's the point. It's always seemed very strange to me that everyone has a discord server. I wanted denpa-chan to replace my old discord server in the sense that it would serve as a community hub, but I do not want to replicate the discord server.
Also, how is this different from any other 2ch clone? What new ideas are you bringing to the table that others haven't already? I frequent 3 textboards already and they're all very unique. The only difference this tb seems to have is the "comfy" rule and I don't think it's enough. Especially when the identity of the board is based around such a vague and subjective theme.
I fail to see how this is going to have any sort of positive impact on modern web. I believe it's more likely that this tb will die in the upcoming months and it will be shut down unless you make improvements.
Lastly, anonymous texboards are not good replacements for discord servers. I don't know if that was the intention but that's not going to work. They're two very different ways of communicating with people and there is little overlap between their users.
