I've been trying to become a sort of DenpaTuber, but I'm beginning to realize that I am simply not denpa. Making videos without scripts is frustrating and difficult; I feel retarded when I talk about my own life instead of anything else of value.
I spend most of the day walking around, either in the meatspace outside or around my tiny goy apartment and talking to my imagined audience in my imaginary denpa video that i imagine i am making, but i haven't made any videos on the internet at all. What is this mental illness called?
>>522 It's surprising what people will listen to, even if it's in the background. Even long pauses don't neccessarily kill the mood, if you're having to formulate what to say in your head while recording. You could make a few bullet point notes, and have some words to jog your memory about what you wanna talk about on video. Doesn't have to be complicated. Also, you can do retakes if the first one sucks. Generally, the more you practice something, the more comfortable you become. As for not being Denpa, I think it's fair to be more a spin off from denpa. You can call it something else, in respect to R.I.P DENPA.

>>523 I'm in a similar position, Anon. I'm hoping to change it soon, though. I'm going to try to force myself to record my first actual video tonight. The "walking in circles while imagining making something" is a type of maladaptive daydreaming, I think. Fernando Pessoa writes about doing this in the Book of Disquiet. I imagine many people here are maladaptive daydreamers. >>524 Thank you for the encouragement and advice. I'll try my best.
Hopefully the streams will still be a thing, i know i enjoyed those. If he’s taking a break along with veep that’d make sense honestly, i just want everyone to do whats best for themselves in this time

The fact is we all need to move on and do something new. Saying this is a massive understatement. Still so much unexplored creative potential. Think bigger guys.
We are not a subreddit for internet nano-celebrities. Even if we were at some point, they have disappeared now, so we can not be even if we want to be. Now is the time for us to come together and discuss, what is "denpa-chan.org" without youtube? What kind of community do we want to be?
Of course, various users are mourning what we have lost, and fair enough, I am too going to miss it. But I also recognize that disconnecting our community from the corpo meta-meatspace "platform" of youtube has the potential to lead to even greater things in the future! What if our preconceived notions of this nebulous "denpa video" thing was holding us back? We can open the door to non-commercial, collaborative projects, for example what if we created a denpa webzine? or a denpa game jam? or a denpa webring with denpa blogs? (i suppose that last one kind of already exists). These are just the first things which came to my head, but I am sure there are all kinds of interesting and creative avenues for collaboration and expression which we could come up with! I know this place is full of weirdo schizo artsy people, we can create more weirdo schizo artsy stuff, for it's own sake! What do you think, are any of those ideas interesting, or do you have your own ideas?
Could denpachan also end up being shut down ? I'm not sure what to say about denpatube in general, other than I respect people taking their time and doing life stuff away from it, and that there are still new channels sprouting off, so things will still likely exist about the 'denpa-culture', and users will still make denpa related content, regardless of what has come before. Comfypilled was also a channel that has resigned I believe. And the content he made is still up for watching. There's still neet denpa stuff to consume there.
Do any of you know a way for me to mass download entire channels, playlists alongside individual videos without running into errors from age restricted videos?

>>22 unfortunately anon the only way to bypass age restriction on youtube is verifying your age. I would recommend getting a throwaway google account and then age verifying it (legitimately or not) and then passing its cookies with yt-dlp whenever you want to download age-restricted videos.
I think that one of the main things that distinguishes Christian metaphysics from Platonic metaphysics is that in the same way that Christianity views Christ as being dualistic, having both a temporal and physical modality as well as a non-temporary metaphysic modality Platonism essentially views all temporal and non-metaphysical phenomenon as essentially having this dualistic modality to them. This would include both animate and inanimate things.
For example all inanimate matter, such as say a rock, or even simpler forms of inanimate matter, or to use an even greater extreme energy itself both exist as phenomenon that are native to time and space, and essentially cannot exist outside of the phenomenological world by their very nature, yet in tandem to this phenomenological modality they also have a metaphysical modality in the Nous, that is to say the Platonic Realm of Forms which is itself underpinned by Being itself, the One.
The hypostatic modality that exists within the Nous is the very underpinning for all phenomenological existence. All phenomena are individuated aspects of the Nous which both simultaneously contains all of the Platonic Forms yet as a wider hypostasis can be said to be all of the Forms experienced as one Form outside of temporality.
Was there an independent Christian metaphysics not influenced by Platonism? On a side note, why do Western philosophers have such a stick up their ass when it comes to Platonism? Also they really really hate transcendence, I suspect its because the inhabitants of a fossil economy would naturally hate anything the idea there are forces beyond their control.
>>3 Well the transcendence vs immanence thing is not so much in things being out-of/in human control, but rather on the where "being" comes from. This is, does it come from something absolutely outside ourselves (transcendence), or something to which we belong to and it belongs to us (immanence). In immanence there is a shared "being" between all things, in transcendence "being" is given to things from somewhere else, and being is not shared between the things themselves, but in between things and their creator, or their source of being.
>>4 Yeah continental philosophers. They love to denounce Platonism and accuse each other of being Platonists. Anyway philosophy isn’t my strong suit :(
